MoonPie is a 99 year old CPG snack brand. The brand is rooted in nostalgia and has a cult following. Tombras was hired to reinvigorate the iconic brand and make it more relevant for millennials. The new work was intended to drive trial and win the snacking occasion. Through strategic planning we identified a brand equity that they’d never used before— the Moon. We developed a new campaign and website that showed that MoonPies were made on the Moon and the theme line “Outta this World”.
