The Tombras Group, a 230+ person, full-service advertising agency, seeks a talented designer in its newly remodeled Knoxville headquarters. You’ll be working for the Ad Age National Small Agency of the Year. You’ll be designing print advertising for national clients such as McDonald’s, GE, Ole Smoky Moonshine, ESPN, MoonPie, Daimler, Regal Cinemas, Michelin, Bush’s Best and Warsteiner Beer. This is an opportunity to work on high visibility clients alongside world-class designers and creative directors. This position is in our Design Lab. Bring an open mind; work in an open space. This position requires high-level creative design and implementation skills and affords the opportunity to work across platforms.


  • Design all forms of print advertising, video graphics, digital media ads and social media content
  • Use feedback/direction from creative lead to generate multiple design explorations and iterate designs to the satisfaction of the team
  • Own small to mid-size and large projects
  • Understand client business objectives, brand, consumer and competitive landscape to inform insightful design ideas
  • Active participation in brainstorms and other idea-generating sessions
  • Design mood boards, comps, concept sketches, presentation decks and storyboards under minimal direction from the project’s creative lead
  • Consistently carry a brand’s look and feel through all media

Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluent in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, in a Mac environment
  • Great design portfolio
  • Degree in graphic design or related field
  • 4-7 years of graphic design experience
